从事环境、能源、冶金、国防等相关领域的无机材料的基础研究、科研开发和产业化工作,侧重于材料在原子尺度的控制,如表面和界面的原子结构及调控、晶体结构与结晶形貌控制、界面结构控制与新材料合成、微结构与光致发光及吸波性能等。
研究室承担了国家级、省部级及横向课题,形成了表面与界面结构修饰、纳米结构和功能材料、电磁透波与吸波材料、电路基板材料、锂离子电极材料、结构陶瓷与新型耐火材料等研究领域。主要的研究方向如下:
1、碳化硅异质结的电子传输特性与动力学模拟

3、全波段高发射涂层的理论基础与设计
4、碳化硅纤维复合材料的电催化特性与优化
